Biography Born in 1967 in Tehran, Mehran Modiri is considered to be the leading artist in social satire in Iran. Active as director, actor, comedian, producer, screenwriter, host and singer, Modiri is one of the most popular figures in Iranian TV history with an estimated 95% viewership when he is on-air. After studying Theatre in Tehran University, he has gained numerous successful experiences in theatre, TV and movies. Modiri directed his debut feature film, 5 IN THE AFTERNOON, in 2017. He made his second feature film, 6 AM, in 2024.

Biography Born in 1953 in Kelaat Sraghna, Marrakesh, Morocco, he got his bachelor’s degree in Economics, Hassan II University, Casablanca, 1980.  He made his training in cinematic techniques in laboratories and studios in Paris, he is member of the National Office of the National Federation of Cinema Clubs in Morocco (1981/1990) – He is one of founders of the African Film Festival of Khouribga, Secretary General of the National Chamber of Film Producers – Secretary General of the National Union for the Development of the Cinema and Audiovisual Industry – Director many features films, documentaries, telefilms, plays, and television programs.

Biography Born in 1987 in Hungary, Bálint Szimler grew up in New York. He moved back to Budapest at 9 years old. At 19 Szimler got accepted to the University of Theatre and Film Arts, the country’s leading film school. His head teacher was Ildikó Enyedi. His 3rd year project ‘Here I Am’, a 35-minute short film won the Hungarian Film Week and was later selected into Cannes Cinefondation and was nominated for best short by the European Film Academy. Since then Szimler created the online music series ‘Kodály Method’, which in 2015 continued into ‘Balaton Method’, a feature music documentary with hundreds of musicians participating. He directed many commercials and music videos throughout the years.

Biography Sondos Smerat, A film director born in the city of Irbid, Jordan. She holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in “Drama and Filmmaking” from Yarmouk University (2022). She trained under a distinguished group of members from the Jordanian Artists Association, of which she is also a member. Sondos began her career directing short films, earning several awards, and participated in advanced workshops with the Royal Film Commission – Jordan. She was selected as the director of Simsim, the first narrative feature film to be produced in the city of Irbid, making her the first woman to lead such a production outside the capital.
